Slovník pre začínajúcich b-boys a b-girls

Break je jeden z prvých hip-hopových tancov. Vznikol začiatkom 70. rokov v USA/Bronxe. Tak ako každý tanec aj break má svoju filozofiu, históriu, basics a slovník.

Hip-hop je kultúra, ktorá vznikala ako reakcia na dobu cca 70. rokoch v chudobných štvrtiach mesta New York, predovšetkým v Bronxe. Hip-hop sa skladá zo 4 základných elementov – WRITing, DJing, MCing, BREAKing (komerčne známy ako break dance).

  • WRITing – známe ako graffity
  • DJing – DJ je skratka pre disc jockey – hudobná zložka
  • MCing – MC je skratka pre master of ceremony – v dnešnej dobe známe ako raper

 

 BREAKdance alebo BREAKing ??

Začínajúci „breakieri“ sú zmätení z toho, že ten istý tanec má viac pomenovaní. Pravda je taká, že breaking je originálny a správny názov. Break dance je komerčný, skomolený názov, ktorý použili média (tv, rozhlas, atď…) na propagáciu novovznikajúcej tanečnej senzácie cca v 70. rokoch.

 

Skratka B-BOYS a B-GIRLS

  • B-BOYS – break boy – chlapci tancujúci break
  • B-GIRLS – break girl – dievčatá tancujúce break

Skratka B-BOY a B-GIRL pochádza od DJ Kool Herc (DJ Kool Herc – jeden z prvých hip-hopových DJov – otec hip-hopu)

 

Základné elementy breaku – toprock, go down, footwork, freeze, power moves

 

Toprock – vertikálna zložka (na nohách v stoji). Patrí medzi prvú a najstaršiu časť tohto tanca (indian step, kick and twist, atď…)

Go down – rôzne prechody z toprocku do footworku, čiže zo stoja dolu na zem (napr. knee drop, front sweep, atď…)

Footwork – horizontálna zložka, skupina krokov pri ktorých je telo na zemi opreté o ruky a nohy vykonávajú rôzne kroky (napr. 6-step, 3-step, pretzels, zulu spin, kick out atď…) 

Freeze – zastavenia v určitej polohe. Napríklad na hlave, ramene, rukách (napr. baby freeze, chair freeze, plank freeze, atď… ) fantázii sa medze nekladú. Taktiež sem patria rôzne pózy

Power moves – najznámejšia zložka hlavne u laického publika. Dynamické, efektné, akrobatické, fyzicky náročnejšie prvky/triky (napr.  windmill, headspin, backspin atď…)

 

Crew – skupina tanečníkov, (na SK napr. Hasta La Muerne, Stred crew atď…)

Commandos –výmena 2 tanečníkov v battli, alebo cypheri rovnakým prvkom/krokom

Routine – spoločná choreografia, pre lepšie pochopenie pozri videjko

Judges – porota

Battle – tanečný súboj/súťaž (1vs1, 2vs2, crew vs crew, atď…) Tu nájdeš rady od top SK b.boys a b.girls – Ako sa zlepšiť v battlení ?
